Only a couple months after I was born my parents were faced with the decision of putting me in daycare or finding a child friendly job. This is where my career began. My first modeling job was for JCPenny when I was only 3 months old. When I was 3 years old I booked my first McDonalds commercial and the rest is history. It wasn't a job to me. It was the only world I knew and boy was it fun! There was print work, commercials, television and features. While girls my age were dreaming of the latest heartthrobs, I was playing with Kevin Arnold’s heart on The Wonder Years. Traveling, Studio Teachers, and Wrap Parties...this was my life until I decided I wanted to explore the world as Kathy and not a character of a story.
I left Los Angeles and attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I majored in Speech Pathology and Audiology and minored in Psych. I joined a sorority and took ice-skating lessons, and after 4 years and many snowstorms I decided not to become a doctor. My passion was for acting and I couldn't ignore it no matter how hard I tried. And I really tried. Besides, I could always play a doctor on TV...
I returned to LA and was fortunate to start where I left off. A few months after my return I landed the role of Susan Dey in Come On Get Happy~The Partridge Family Story and I was off and running. More commercials, more television and features. I bought a house. I got married. I survived a SAG strike. I dabbled in producing and spent a year traveling the festival circuit. And then I took another hiatus...and I had to learn a new role...Mommy to Oliver and Kate.
So here I am. Jumping in again. Can't stay away. Here come the commercials...stay tuned for the television and features.
